Default HSBC Bank Charges

I know the information I'm asking for is on the forum and I should look for it myself but I'm to Ill to look through or understand it at the moment.

I'll get on with it now.

I've been banking with HSBCautolinker.com autolinking image now for 9 years and I've had my DLA paid in to my current account for those 9 years also. They have also taken my benefit for 9 yerars too. I get paid around £350 and each month for the past 9 years they have taken take £150. £100 for going £100 overdrawn it's an authorised overdraft and they charge me another £50 on top of that for some reason. Which has left my in financial hardshipautolinker.com autolinking image for those years and I'm sick of it.

I have now opened another account with Natewst to have my benefit paid into. Can I claim back the money the bank have taken of me for the past 9 years. HSBC have pushed me to far this time and I'd like the benefits they have taken of me all these years back.

I'd like to know if this is a lost cause or if I should just start a new leaf with all of my benefit being mine to keep?

Hi Nicola 85, welcome(back?) to the forum

If they've been charging exorbitant charges on charges ..... (which it sounds like they're doing .... ) and using your benefit to service the debt which they've created , then it's not on .

I think you need to work out how much they have taken like this over the years and set about claiming it back .

It's good that you've moved it out of their clutches by having a parachute accountautolinker.com autolinking image with Natwestautolinker.com autolinking image ......well done ...

By all means start a new leaf with that , but don't let them get away with plundering your finances for all these years ....

Once you know how much they owe you use the template letter on here to ask for it back ......

http://www.consumerforums.com/resour...-for-repayment

It may also be worth while having a word with your Work & Pensions (or whoever pays your DLA ... and tell them what's been happening to your benefits ..... they may assist you to get them back ......

I hope you're well enough to set this ball rolling Nicola ,it'll help you immensely I'm sure if you can retrieve even some of what they've taken from you .....

If you need further help , just come back and ask ,.it may not be me ..... but someone will answer ....

And if you should encounter or wish to stop Nat West doing the same Use This letter.

The Consumer Forums - right of appropriation - Stop the bank from taking your money

You will also need an income & expenditure statement to show the appropriationautolinker.com autolinking image. There is a link to one on the above letter.

Thanks for that information. It will be handy if I ever need it. I don't plan on going overdrawn ever again. I'm starting a new leaf. Start as I mean to go on. I hate having money troubles so it's a very big incentive to keep in the black.

How do I sum up the charges? Do I send a Subject access requestautolinker.com autolinking image? and what counts as charges?

Thanks.

Your Welcome

Yes - send a Subject access requestautolinker.com autolinking image - Do not ask for statements or you may be charged. Ask for all info they hold on you including a list of transactions which may (at their own cost) be in the format of copy statements.

The charges you can claim for are (or were when i did it) Unpaid Chq, DD etc and the Total charges (as this is not a total it is another set of charges)
