Angry evelynking V Natwest WON but not a penny!! HELP

Please can someone help? I have just recieved offer from NatWest, in full, but they have said they will be giving it to solicitor to come off the charge they have on my property, i will incur charges from the solicitor to adjust the balance, which will also come out of MY win, apparently they are allowed to decide where this money goes? (according to them) but it was my money originally that they took from me that got me into this mess in the first place!! is there any way out of this???

clearly a slightly tricky one

usually the money is yours and they cannot dictate how it is returned to you, although they often try

but I don't know about the charge thing, they may have a legal right to claim money from you

not sure, someone more clued up on this one will have to help you

good luck

If the money that you have got back from NW reduces the charge over your property, is that not a good thing?

Understood-it would be nice to get the cash back in a cheque so you can actually see it andn feel that it is a proper victory.

Maybe give them a call to see if you can come to an agreement with them as to how the money is paid back.

Or you could phone your local Citiznes Advice Bureau to see what they think.
