I'm currently waiting for my ppi reclaim complaint to be dealt with by the fosautolinker.com autolinking image, however, they have had the complaint since April last year and it still hasn't been passed to an adjudicator! Has anyone had any joy with a straight forward reclaim from these (or HFC) as i'm seriously considering getting back on to them to get it sorted as i'm struggling to make my payments to them every month and from my calculations what they owe me would pay the loan off! It just seems to be taking an age with the fosautolinker.com autolinking image and they told me i could only be fast tracked if i was in arrears with my mortgage, which i'm not.... Any advice???

There is absolutely nothing stopping you from phoning or writing to the fosautolinker.com autolinking image to ask for an update on your case. I know they are busy and getting busier looking at this forum.

Remind the FOS about the fast track issue.

Please do not PM me for advice as it may be sometime before I can respond.

Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.

I tried that, they just said they are dealing with cases from Jan 08 and it was just a case of waiting, my case has been with them since March 08 so a long wait for me i think!

I was wondering why people are referring these claims onto the fosautolinker.com autolinking image when they could simply issue a claim in the county courtautolinker.com autolinking image? Are there pitfalls people are falling into when taking this course of action, or is it just considered easier to refer onto the fosautolinker.com autolinking image?

The choice is purely up to the individual. I advise the fosautolinker.com autolinking image route because if it fails you still have the option of the Court route but not the other way around. Also no FOS fees other than what the company complained against has to pay the FOS £500 per complaint.

Also no initial Court costs paperwork etc and the risk of a legal person on the side of the bank etc being able to put up a fierce fight against a person not familiar with court. You would need to be well prepared IMO.
