Default Barclays PPI Not canceled

Took out a loan with Barclaysautolinker.com autolinking image in November 2004 with PPIautolinker.com autolinking image.
I have banked with Barclay for quite a few years and I am with them as self employed.
Received the PPI policy a around a month later, and on reading ,realised was not covered
On the PPI as I am self employed. Wrote to Barclays insurance Dublin and they received
My letter 4 jan 2005. They replied saying I could not cancel it through them and
I should Contact Barclays bank. I made around 10 phone callsautolinker.com autolinking image and got past form one person to another, and was told to put it in writing which I did, instructing them to cancel the policy. They replied saying that they could not see the PPI direct debitautolinker.com autolinking image on the system
And said that is had probably not gone through yet, but they would monitor my account
And once it had gone through they would cancel it. I have just realised 5 years later they did not cancel it and the PPI has been taken out of my regular loan payment at £96 per month. How do you think I stand here?

Hi Shazwebb,

This is Barclaysautolinker.com autolinking image being barclays. Trying to get as much out of you as possible.

I suggest you send a Subject access requestautolinker.com autolinking image (Subject access requestautolinker.com autolinking image) to barclays requesting everything they hold on you as a data subject. Is best to be pre armed when going into a claim.

The Subject Access Request must be sent with a postal order for £10 and addressed to barclays bank head office. They will have 40 days to comply.

I have submitted 4 claims against barclays for PPIautolinker.com autolinking image on loans for OH. One has been paid in full and the other 3 are with the fosautolinker.com autolinking image (Financial Ombudsmanautolinker.com autolinking image Service) awaiting adjudication.

You will get lots of help on this forum and always remember barclays do not want to give you your money back, but in my humble opinion, this is money you are entitled to.

Good luck

very obvious mis-selling.

if you are still paying the loan. then write to them [barclay's] and cancel the PPI

then start the mis-selling process.

Apart from the fact they mis-sold the policy, i clearly instructed the insurers and Barclaysautolinker.com autolinking image bank to cancel the policy. I did not realise i was still paying the PPIautolinker.com autolinking image as it was included in the one monthly loan payment, I have phoned them and they siad they would look into it. I want to send a well worded letter complaining and asking for a refund of the moneys taken.
Where do i get a template, as i am not very good at writing letters?

Thanks for your comments so far.

This is a draft letter i intend to send.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Ref: [Your PPIautolinker.com autolinking image policy number]

I believe Barclaysautolinker.com autolinking image has been taking payments for a payment protection insurance policy which
I canceled in writing on or around Dec 2004.

I initially wrote to Barclays/park royal Wembley requesting to cancel the PPI.
Barclays park royal Wembley must have passed on my instructions to cancel
as I received a reply form Barclay insurance Dublin acknowledging my request to cancel,
but advising me they would/could not cancel and to write to Barclays Bank, which I did in the first place.

I phoned Park Royal who put me through to Barclays Dublin who then told me to phone my branch.
I phoned my branch who put me through to Barclay loan direct who tried to contact Ireland but could not get through. I phone the following day and spoke to a Paul Stewart at Barclay load direct, who asked me
To write another letter. I also made many more phone callautolinker.com autolinking image being passes around in a circle. I sent several other correspondence letters regarding cancellation.

I wrote another letter to Customer services requesting they cancel my PPI
And received a letter back Ref: 2234312540/12 saying they could not trace the payments for PPI but would monitor my account and cancel it immediately. I assumed this had been done and I was not aware I have been paying PPI ever since.

I work overseas and therefore would not of been eligible for any payments from the PPI if I found myself unable to meet my debt repayments.

I therefore request a full refund of my PPI payments of £96.94 per month + interestautolinker.com autolinking image totaling £6700.49 and that you stop taking Payments immediately.

If I do not receive a favorable response from you I will pursue this claim through the Financial Ombudsmanautolinker.com autolinking image and will be sending you a Subject access requestautolinker.com autolinking image for all the correspondence.
