Could This Mean The End Of Call Centres & Nuisance Calls?
Call centres can only exist and operate when we give our consent, we consent when we are asked to give our names and other details over the phone. I have started refusing to give my details over the phone on the basis that I am unable to verify who is on the other end of the phone, I always answer the phone without giving my name and always ask the caller who they are and what is the nature of their call. If it is a corporate entity I tell them I cannot give or verify my details this is for security reasons and to protect my details. Once I have stated my position and not given my name, the corporate entity cannot engage with you any longer and will have to end the call. We need to stop giving call centres the green light to contact us, harrass us, bombard us with nuisance calls etc, etc.

A true call machine can and does do this without any of the disturbance or inconvenience of having to answer the call
