Default problem with focus from dealer

hi to everyone

i purchased a 06 ford focus on sat 30/05/09 from a dealer with a full ford main dealer history and six months warranty within 3 hours of owning the car the battery light came on and stayed on rang the dealer and he said take it to my local nationwide autocentre who would honour the warranty any way the car was there when they said there was
diesel leaking through the injcectors and gone on to the alternator the garage said that ford had replaced these parts and was still under the service warranty and they would contact ford and take it there for me ford are saying that if the parts are at fault they will replace but not if it down to bad workmanship ?
rang the dealer who sold me the car and said enough is enough and i wont to reject the sale now he is saying that i will have to pay 175+ vat to get the car back to him plus 300 pound for devaluing the car because it has another owner on it so i am going to lose nearly 500 pound for a car i drove about 60 miles

if anyone can help me with advice it would be very appreciated
sorry for the long post

Wrong. You will have to pay nothing, it is up to them to come and get it.

Don't use the telephone any more.

Stop using the car, (which I expect you already have).
List all the problems along with a timeline.
Send them a recorded delivery letter with the above and head it 'Rejection under the sale of goods act'.

Tell them they have 7 days in which to collect the car and refund you.

If you put the tax on, make sure to take the disc out of the car before they come, but not too soon that you could get done for not displaying.

At the end of the time, if they haven't done the business, come back for help sending them a letter before actionautolinker.com autolinking image.

If the car was financed, send copies of all letters to them as well, noting that on the bottom of the letter to the dealer.

I will check tomorrow that the regulation hasn't changed making you responsible for returning the car.

Say what you don't understand on their site and I will also have a look at that tomorrow.

Edit to add

The fact he sold it from home has no bearing, he is still a trader.
