Car deposit refund over the phone

I saw a used car for sale on a dealer's website.
I phoned him got some more information. He also emailed me some more pictures of the vehicle.

On the basis of his description I telephoned and left a £300 credit card deposit agreeing to pay the remaining £6195 upon collection.
The car was in Belfast I am in warwickshire.

3 days later my grandfather became ill and I rang up and explained that I wouldnt be able to get to Belfast to complete the deal.

The dealer agreed to refund the deposit less any banking fees he would be charged.

I have not received any refund, the credit card company cannot help.
What should I do?
