Default Cancel order for used car

Hi
Last Saturday I did a deal at my local Citroen dealer to exchange my 56 plate Mondeo for an 08 plate Xsara Picasso. I left a £250 deposit on the Picasso and am due to exchange on Feb 1st. I have since changed my mind. Can I legally back out of the deal. I am prepared to forfeit my deposit.
Cheers, Dave

Hi
Yes it's a cash deal. Looks as if i'm stuffed then. Only way out would be the standard Citroen dealers 30 day exchange plan for another car on his forecourt
Thanks

Yes, you can cancel. Tell them you have changed your mind within 7 days and would like your deposit by cheque within a further 7 days.
