 |  removing defaults question hello!!! i have settled a default with a company called Cabot Financial who took over my debt with a credit card in 2003,i settled it a month ago but have checked my  if i wanted to write to the company to get it removed..would i have to write to the original company who my credit card was with (i dont have any paperwork form it as it was 7 years ago) or Cabot who the debt was referred to??? Cabot told me the payment would show up on my account as settled in 6 weeks,so i would have to wait another 2 weeks and check my file again just to see if it shows settled!! any help/comments appreciated!!!!  |
